The Guest Cottage, St Agnes, Isles of Scilly

Welcome...
...to a perfect food-lover's holiday on the tiny, beautiful island of St Agnes.

Picture
When you arrive - across the sparkling water, up the sun-dappled lane, past the lighthouse - at The Guest Cottage, you can stop, slough off the grey cares of Mainland life and breathe in the fresh, Atlantic-scrubbed air of the island.  The little granite fisherman's cottage is your own calm and pretty home for the week; with its long, low, white-beamed living space, big squashy sofa, books, games, music and dvds to explore, wood-burner for chilly Spring or Autumn evenings, glasshouse and garden in which to soak up the sunshine.

Perhaps the best thing, though, is the wonderful larder you will find full of home-cooked island meals.  Using fresh local produce, Piers stocks the kitchen with pies, tarts, breads, salads, puddings and cake all ready for your arrival. He has even written a book - An Island Food Mile - celebrating the world class ingredients available on St Agnes.

So there is no need to worry about shopping: you can run straight down to Periglis and plunge into the icy sea, or read a book in the shelter of the rocks on Wingletang, knowing that you can come home, sun-kissed and salty, to an easy, delicious supper and a delightful night's sleep.
